On My Journey

Almost ten years ago I thought of becoming a professional life coach. I thought it would be a good compliment to my master’s degree in social work. I thought it would be another vehicle to fulfill my purpose to serve and empower women and children. I thought it would feed my entrepreneurial spirit. So, I signed up for a course. I completed one module of the course and knew the timing wasn’t right and that program wasn’t the best fit. My kids were too young, I was working full time building my career in Social Work – I just had too much on my plate. So, I tucked that dream away. Timing is everything! I am now a certified coach and am launching my business! My passion and purpose for serving and empowering women is still at the center, but now with so much more clarity, wisdom, and experience. Since I first had this dream, I have raised my children to teens and young adults, experienced divorce, and have excelled in my career. More importantly I have come to know and appreciate who I am. Through my courageous journey I have taken the actions I needed to be whole, complete, and happy. I have learned to trust my voice and value my insights. I have traveled on the journey from living out of obligation and for others, to living in truth and authenticity. We are all at different points in our courageous journey. Be grateful for where you have been, embrace where you are now and celebrate where you are going!
