The Courageous Journey

When I put a destination into the GPS it provides me several routes to choose from. One route is the fastest, one is the shortest, one has fewer tolls, and one might be the most scenic route. Which route is best? I always default to the fastest route – always in a hurry and always wanting to save time. What am I missing out on by always choosing the path with the least obstacles, the path that is quicker than the others? Am I passing up on experiences? Am I missing out on the beauty all around me? Am I passing by opportunities for connection, growth and spiritual fulfillment? The destination is the desired goal and outcome, but the journey and the route taken is to be cherished. The journey is what enriches us, equips us and allows us to fully appreciate our destination. Always have gratitude for your courageous journey.
